Hooray for Haydn!

Today I got to meet my new little friend, Haydn Grace. She is one day old and is just a sweet, adorable little smoosh. I felt big urges to just squeeze her and snuggle her and cover her chubby little cheeks with kisses, but I refrained...didn't want to go all crazy since she's still a teeny-tiny thing.

Melody delivered at a hospital near me, so I was able to zip over today for a visit. Melody looked fabulous, especially considering she had just birthed a whole baby yesterday. Even Haydn was dolled up in a cute sleeper and even a little pink bow. She has light brown hair, blonde eyelashes, and the sweetest little mouth and chin. She snoozed away for my entire visit.

Everything just seemed so happy and CALM. Melody said she was much more relaxed about everything this time around...which was very reassuring. I remember being totally anxiety-ridden during Gabby's newborn stage. I can't imagine feeling like that all over again, but with a toddler on top of that! Now I have hope that if we do have #2, that I might not be as anxious and crazy as I was the first time. Maybe I do need another one! Uh oh, Little Miss Haydn is so cute she is making me nutty! :)

Thanks for posting about her! Today was our first full day home. I know that David is here, but it's been pretty easy. She just eats and sleeps. She does cluster feed once a day and makes me crazy, but other than that...MUCH easier than Luke was...
Go for it, girl! Gabby needs a sibling!
Oh...and thanks for stopping by the other day! So good to see a friendly face in a sea of hospital personnel.
